Hi, I'm Kim, creator of Oakwood Knits!
I learned crochet in college and learned how to knit shortly thereafter which was around 2008. However it was only during the pandemic, adjusting to being a new mom, and working full time that I started knitting seriously in order to find a source of calm during hectic days. In 2021 I started experimenting with my own designs. I love playing with color and exploring new-to-me techniques. In 2023 I expanded my interest in this craft and started hand-dyeing yarn. I am originally from Pennsylvania and currently living in the Bay Area, California.
